The deputy managing director of NIDC Hamid Reza Khoshayand said 29 wells were development ones and 39 others were workovers.

He said 74 drilling rigs of the company operated during the period and most of them were run in the fields being operated by the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

NIDC drilled over 157,623 meters of wells during the 6 months, he added.
