New Round of Iran-Russia Oil Talks

TEHRAN, Oct. 25 (Shana) – Russian oil companies have started a new round of talks with Iranian oil officials prior to Vladimir Putin's state visit to Tehran.

Russian oil companies have signed the largest number of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Iran for developing oil projects in comparison to companies from other countries of the world.

Lukoil, Zarubezhneft, Tat and Gazprom Neft each have so far signed documents for carrying out studies on various oil projects in Iran.

Russia has always been a strategic partner for Iran in the Middle East.

In 2016, Iran and Russia traded $2.2 billion worth of goods.
