The refining facilities of the South Pars
Gas Complex (SPGC) processed 7 bcm of the gas during the period for injection
into the national gas trunkline.
According to Abodolrahman Salehi, an SPGC official,
7.5 bcm was gas was sweetened at SPGC during the 7 months.
He said the complex also supplied 1.336m
tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 114 million barrels of gas condensate
and 1.3 million tons of ethane during the same period.
The sulfur output of the field stood at
Iran shares South Pars with Qatar in Persian Gulf waters. The fields is touted as the world's biggest natural gas reserve.
