Iran, Romania Discuss Enhanced Energy Ties

TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (Shana) – Iran and Romania held talks on boosting energy relations.

Amir Hossein Zamani-nia, the deputy petroleum minister in international affairs and trading, hosted a meeting with visiting Chairman of Iran-Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group Virgil-Daniel Popescu in Tehran on Sunday.

Following the meeting and speaking to Shana, Zamani-nia underlined the age-old relations between Iran and Romania, adding the latter is keen on buying natural gas from Iran.

He said Romanian companies are eager to join oil industry projects in Iran, adding they have also signaled readiness to build oil and gas items and parts and partner with Iranian companies in oil and energy projects.
