Gazprom to submit Result of Studies on Iran Gas Fields by Early 2018: Director

TEHRAN, Dec. 13 (Shana) -- Russian energy giant Gazprom said it will submit the result of its studies on a number of Iranian gas fields to Tehran in the first quarter of 2018.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Management Committee of Russian energy company Gazprom, Alexey Miller told reporters that the studies concern development of Kish, North Azadegan and Farzad A and B gas fields.

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Russian gas giant Gazprom signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on gas cooperation.

NIOC Managing Director Ali Kardor and Alexey Miller signed the documents in Tehran on Wednesday.

One of the deals concerns a gas cooperation roadmap between NIOC and Gazprom and the other is about cooperation for construction if Iran LNG project with partnership of Iran's Oil Industry Persian Fund.

Head of the Oil Industry Persian Fund Nosrat Rahimi was the signatory of the second document.

Gazprom is the world's biggest producer of natural gas and one of the largest companies of the globe.

The company is the supplier of over 25% of Europe's gas needs.
