Transmission Company (IGTC), said once the pipelines are laid, Iran's high pressure
gas transmission pipelines will reach 45,000 kilometers from currently 36,000 kilometers.
the company enjoys the Middle East's largest and the world's 4th
largest gas transmission network following Russia, the US and Canada.
added that the company is currently transferring 746 million cubic meters of
gas on a daily basis up by 52 mcm (7.5%) from last year.
the company has plans to reach transmission capacity of 400 billion cubic
meters per day by 2025, adding the lengths of its high pressure gas pipelines will
increase by 26% reaching 45,000 km by then.
company, IGTC is obliged to deliver 240 bcm of gas in the current Iranian calendar
year which began on March 21.
