Iran 9-Month Sweet Gas Output up 9% Y/Y

TEHRAN, Jan. 03 (Shana) – Iran's sweet gas output rose by 9 percent in the first three quarters of the current calendar year (started March 21), from the same period last year.

Iranian refineries supplied 152 billion cubic meters of sweet gas during the period, said National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

The rise was made possible by‌ launching new phases of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field in Persian Gulf waters.

Moreover, NIGC said, the country's gas condensate and sulfur output rose by 11% and 5% respectively from the same period last year.

Furthermore, the ethane output of the country rose by 25% compared to last year, NIGC said.
