Firefighting operations to
extinguish a burning Iran oil tanker in the East China Sea has stopped by Chinese
firefighters due to bad climatic conditions and an explosion on the tanker, National
Iranian Tanker Company said.
Spokesman of an emergency
committee of the Iranian tanker collision with a Chinese balk freighter,
Captain Mohsen Bahrami said a Japanese fireboat will reach the tanker by Thursday,
adding the firefighting operation will resume ones conditions improve around
the stricken Sanchi oil tanker.
"We expect the Chinese to expect the risks of the operation and not
halt the operation by a small explosion and pull back their fireboats,"
