South Pars Power Generation at 17.7 m MWh since 2009

TEHRAN, Jan. 13 (Shana) – South Pars Concentrated Power Plant has so far supplied 17.7 million megawatt-hours of electricity since its inauguration in 2009, an official with Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) said.

The facility, which is the only power generation unit in POGC, has been operating since 2009, Alireza Ebadi said.

The plant, run by the gas generated at various phases of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field, comprises 6 gas units and operates with 1,000 megawatts of power generation capacity.

The facility has been developed for ensuring sustainable power supply to refinery facilities of POGC.
