JCPOA Sped up Oil Deals with Euro firms: Oil Official

TEHRAN, Jan. 22 (Shana) -- A senior Iranian oil official says implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) hastened release of seized equipment in other countries and sped up signature of oil deals with European companies.

Managing Director Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company Abbasali Jafarinasab spoke to Shana on the occasion of the anniversary of implementation of the JCPOA back on January 16 2016.

"During the sanction years, most constructive and effective relations with foreign companies that presented parts and services were severed but after implementation of the JCPOA, all these companies indicated willingness to cooperate with us," he said.

"We were able to dip into the expertise of foreign companies for construction and repairing of certain turbines after the deal came into force."

Since 2016, Iran has released 4 turbines from UAE and the UK which was made possible thanks to the JCPOA implementation, he added.
