TEHRAN, Feb. 14 (Shana) -- Iran’s Bandar Abbas Gas Condensate Refinery (aka Persian Gulf Star Refinery) has started the procedure to provide euro-5 gasoline in its second phase, managing director of the facility said.

Mohammad Ali Dadvar said on Wednesday that plant is being built for processing 360,000 barrels per day of gas condensate, adding by the time the second phase of the plant comes online, its euro-5 gasoil production output will reach 8 million liters per day.

Speaking during a ceremony to launch the phase’s distillation unit, the official added that the refinery’s first phase is currently producing 12 million liters per day of euro-5 petrol, 3.5 ml/d of euro-5 gasoil and 700,00 liters/day of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Once the second phase’s productivity stabilizes, 12 ml/d of gasoil and 4 ml/d of gasoil will be added to the plant’s total output, he said.

The refinery comprises 3 phases each fed by 120,000 barrels/day of gas condensate, ultra-light crude oil.
