MPs Endorse new Oil, Gas Export Revenues for Calendar Year 97

TEHRAN, Feb. 17 (Shana) -- Members of the Iranian parliament on Saturday voted for increasing the ceiling of the country's oil and gas revenues in the coming calendar year of 1397 beginning on March 21.

The representatives at their Saturday session (February 17, 2018), reviewed the Rouhani administration's proposed national budget bill for the calendar year 97.

According to paragraph B and C of the bill's note 1, the ceiling of government revenues from selling crude oil, gas condensate and natural gas will be at IRR959,314 billion and 403 million, with 3% of the revenues allotted to development of oil-rich, gas-rich and underdeveloped provinces and cities.

Also, according to paragraph (c) of this bill, if the state resources from exporting oil, gas condensate and net exports of gas in the calendar year of 1397 are less than IRR 1.14 trillion, the administration would be allowed to dip into 50% of the national treasury account.
