Iran Petchem Exports at $3.15b in Q1

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iranian petrochemical plants produced 13.2 million tons of petrochemical products in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, exporting $3.158 billion worth of goods.

The plants operating at Mahshahr petrochemical hub, southwestern Iran, produced 4.59 million tons of products during the period, NIPNA reported.

Moreover, the plants running in Asaluyeh, southern Iran, provided 5.86 mt of items in the first quarter.  

The actual production of 20 other petrochemical plants operating across the country stood at over 2.7 million tons during the same period.  

The most prolific facilities in the period were Khuzestan, Ehtemam Jam, Khorasan, Karbon Iran, Shimi Baft, Khark, Kermanshah, Noori, Morvarid, and Shiraz.

In terms of exports, 5.35 million tons of products, valued at $3.158 billion, were exported during the period.
