No Country Can Stop Iran Oil Exports: MP

TEHRAN (Shana) -- A member of the Iranian parliament said no country could prevent Iran from developing its oil industry or call a halt to its oil exports.

Speaking to Shana, Shahbaz Hassanpour Biglari said the sanctions would harm the US more than Iran, adding despite the fact that a number of countries had dishonored their commitments towards Iran, the country had managed to find new customers for its oil.

“The US knows already that the global oil market cannot replace Iran’s oil with other supplies, and, therefore, has issued waivers from sanctions to eight countries to continue buying oil from Iran,” the MP added.

He further said that the new round of sanctions were only imposed by the US on Iran, not the world, while under the previous sanctions, no country was legally authorized to cooperate with Iran. “Even at that time, we managed to sell our oil.”
