TEHRAN – The methanol unit of the Fanavaran Petrochemical Complex earned 35 million dollars from exporting 161,600 tons of products to the world markets, its director said.
Jalil Ebrahimpour said the unit produces 2,400 tons per day of products.
“203,000 tons of methanol products were sold in the first four months of the current year. Domestic markets accounted for five million dollars.”
He said the company was planning to export more methanol to India, Malaysia, Taiwan and South Korea.
Ebrahimpour said the company was supposed to deliver 80,000 tons of methanol to the United Kingdom.
