TEHRAN -– The Third NF Unit for condensate separation is going to be built in Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC). The Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company (PIDMCO), affiliated to the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), has assigned Namavaran of Iran as main contractor of the project and Spanish Tecnicas Reuvidas will perform as subcontractor, the Persian service of PIN reported on Saturday.

The project cost stands at over 161 million euros which covers for principled and detailed engineering, supplying equipments, installation and construction work, and commissioning and pre-commissioning operation. The unit is projected to produce 1,371 tons ethane, 2,675 tons propane, 2,200 tons butane, and 2,180 tons pentane per day. The BIPC will supply required utilities -- electricity, water and steam – and 100,000 bpd NGL as feedstock will come from domestic sources. The project is set to come on stream within 34 months and annual gross income is expected to be at $573m, offering return of capital within a year. Moreover, 1,000 people will be employed for implementation of this NF contract and 100 job opportunities will be available when operation kicks off. PIN/MNA
