TEHRAN May 01 (Shana): Development contract of the second phase of Mansouri oil field was signed between Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) and Tadbir Energy Company in the presence of Iranian Petroleum Minister, Rostam Qasemi.

Under the contract, which is an engineering, procurement, construction and finance (EPCF) contract; daily oil and gas production from Mansouri oil field will rise respectively by 50 thousand barrels and 22.5 million cubic meters.

Drilling 12 production oil wells and 2 wastewater injection wells, construction of gathering and transferring of associated gases facilities with production capacity of almost 64.5 million cubic feet of gas per day are among the other related activities for development of Manouri oil field’s second phase.

Construction of exploitation and desalination facilities with processing capacity of 75 thousand barrels of oil and per day, construction of power supply facilities and completing studies on advanced recovery techniques through laboratory and research are among the other activities relating to development of second phase of the field.

Under the contract, early production from the field will initiate next Iranian calendar year while the project is slated to be completed three years later.

Mansouri oil field is located 100 kilometers north of Persian Gulf coast and 50 kilometers southeast of Ahwaz City, the center of Khozestan Province.

Mansuri oil field has been yielding 100 thousand barrels of oil per day since completion of its first phase in 2007. The field is comprised of three formations named Asmari, Bangestan and Khami.
