Iran Cumulative Production of SPOL Exceeds 4.7mb

TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (Shana) -- Iran's cumulative production of the South Pars Oil Layer (SPOL) has crossed 4.7 million barrels, an official with the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said.

Production ِDirector of IOOC Mohammad Hossein Daneshfar told Shana that all the oil produced from the field has been exported so far.

He said the 9th oil consignment from the field has been loaded by the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) that is operating at the offshore field.

"The consignment was loaded on Tuesday and the 10th one is scheduled for mid-December," Daneshfar said.

Iran started trial-run production of SPOL on March 20 2017 but Iranian President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated the project in a ceremony on Sunday, April 16 2017.

The project is being developed under the newly-devised model of oil contracts, also known as Iran Petroleum Contract (IPC).
