Iran VLCC Salvages Sri Lankan Fisherman

TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (Shana) -- A very large crude carrier (VLCC) owned by the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) saved the lives of five fishermen in the Indian Ocean.

According to the NITC, the VLCC, which was sailing in the ocean last week, saved the lives of 5 Sri Lankan fishermen after a 5-hour operation.

The fishermen are now at the vessel which heading towards Iran's Chabahar Port and will get there by December 6.

The fishermen were in the ocean for two or 3 days before being saved by the Iranian VLCC, Iran Stream.

Owned by NITC, the VLCC is one of the world's biggest crude oil carriers.
