Homayoun Kazemeini said that the agreement for the development of South Yaran would be signed soon to enhance its production.
"Drilling of 12 wells is over and flowlines have been installed. Wellhead equipment is set to be installed soon," he said.
Kazemeini added that the South Yaran output stood at 12,000 b/d.
South Yaran, shared with neighboring Iraq, is locate 130 kilometers southwest of the oil-rich city of Ahvaz.
