TEHRAN (Shana) -- A consignment of 500,000 barrels of crude oil destined for Europe was exported from Bahregan Zone.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), loading of the cargo was carried out on June 19 at Bahregan, in southern Iran.

The ultra-heavy crude was recovered from West Karoun oilfields and was delivered to Bahregan by a 32-inch pipeline to Omidiyeh Pumping Station.

Bahregan offshore terminal handles export of crude oil from a Single Buoy Mooring (SBM). The terminal is owned and operated by the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).
