“Americans admitted they could not bring Iran's oil exports to zero”

TEHRAN (Shana) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the Americans had confessed to their inability to bring Iran’s oil exports to zero, saying, “From day one, I said the US was not able to bring Iran’s oil export to zero.”

Speaking on Saturday, Dr. Rouhani said, “In the region, either all producers will export their oil or, if Iran’s oil exports stopped, all others would be in trouble as well.”

He said the Americans “want to undermine the lives and livelihoods of the people through their misplaced sanctions and by targeting the banking system and the export of oil and other items related to revenue generation.”

"Therefore, the fact that the United States claims it does not seek to put pressure on the people and only seeks to pressure the establishment and government [in Iran] is completely incorrect and inaccurate, and they themselves have in fact revealed this reality.”
