Commenting on the oil deposits in Anaran Oil Field he said that, “No estimates has been yet made about the oil deposits existing in the field but one thing is for sure, National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) does not approve the unofficial figures published by different sources so far.” He also pointed to the high quality of the oil in the field and stated that no decision had been made on the sale of the product so far. Anaran Oil Field is located in the southwestern province of Ilam. Over 100 million dollars has been invested in the oil field. A Norwegian oil company, Hydro Zagros 25 percent of shares of which belongs to Luke Oil Co., has taken charge of the exploration operation in the oil field. PIN/MNA
