TEHRAN – Irans Petrochemical Commerce Company is finalizing a deal with China and European countries for exporting four million tons of polyolefin, a director of the company said.

Yousef Mosafer told PIN Iran will export its polyolefin to Chinese and European markets by 2010. “We have won markets for three million tons of polymeric materials in China. Another one million ton is destined for European markets in Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg,” he said. “Polyolefin includes four products known as high-density and low-density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene and polypropylene,” he added. The official stated that the products wre being offered by Maroun and Jam petrochemical complexes as well as the Arya Sasol Polymer Company. Mosafer said the deal for selling two million tons of PET from Tondguyan Petrochemical Complex to European, African and Chinese customers would be finalized by March. He said the Iranian company has focused on supplying domestic needs.
