Mahmoud Zirakchian-zadeh told Petroenergy Information Network that seismography, drilling and surface installations were among domestic companies activities. He said development plan for 16 oil fields has been among the most successful plans used for developing Iranian oil and gas fields. The official stated that the plan has made the least use of foreign facilities to prevent outflow of foreign exchange. Zirakchian-zadeh stated that Iranian companies should be supported to achieve self-sufficiency. “National Iranian Central Oil Company is the second company after exploration department of the National Iranian Oil Company to carry out seismographic operations on oil and gas field and has thus far completed 1,137 km two-dimensional and 1,043 km 3-D seismographic operations,” he said. The official stated that National Iranian Central Oil Company has helped Oil Exploration Operations Company and other companies with regard to oil exploration.
