TEHRAN – Managing director of Petropars Company said contractors for developing South Pars phase 12 in onshore and offshore parts have been identified and expressed hope that the first package of documents with regard to jackets will be presented in four months.

Gholamreza Manouchehri told Petroenergy Information Network that, at present, enough land has been prepared for building phase 12 refinery, adding, “There are limitations in the region including residential units and owned property and we expect such problems to be solved in cooperation with Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization,” The official stated that basic engineering contract for the project has been singed. Manouchehri noted that, at present, there is no major obstacle on the way of implementing phase 12 project and NICO Company has undertaken financial costs of the project. He said all legal formalities for launching the project have been carried out including obtaining approvals from Economy Council, National Iranian Oil Company and a three-member commission. South Pars phase 12 development project aims at daily production of 3 billion cu. ft. natural gas as well as 9 million tons liquefied natural gas per year and 855 million cu. ft. sweet gas for injection into cross country network.
