KIEV -- Despite the Ukrainian prime minister's resolution to restore residential heating in full, Kiev energy operators are not hurrying to increase heating supply to households, a Ukrainian television channel said Sunday.

The city's energy supplier Kievenergo has failed to provide full heating in several residential districts of the Ukrainian capital, and temperatures in apartments stay at about 18 degrees Centigrade (64.4 Fahrenheit). Many residents have to use additional heating devices, the NTN television channel said. During the recent gas dispute between Ukraine and Russia, the Ukrainian government introduced tight gas consumption limits, including for household needs. However, on January 4, after both countries signed an agreement on gas supplies and gas transit, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov lifted the restrictions. PIN/RIA NOVOSTI
