Dariush Riahifar told PIN the projects included monomer styrene, polystyrene and ethyl benzene in Assaluyeh. “These units have not been awarded to any private entity and they will finally come back to Pars Petrochemical Complex,” he said. The official stated that the private sector can get them if it voices its readiness to that effect. “These units are currently under construction and they have made good progress,” he said. The polystyrene project is supposed for 600,000 tons of products per annum and the ethyl benzene unit is meant for 645,000 tons a year.
