KUWAIT CITY - Head of Kuwait parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission said here Saturday that the commission, in joint meeting with the government, will review the latest developments on Iran's nuclear dossier.

Speaking at a press conference Mohammad al-Saqar said Kuwait has been aware of diplomatic efforts to settle the crisis between Iran and international community over former's nuclear program. The Persian Gulf region is important for the world and efforts should be made to forge peace and stability in the region, he added. He also stressed on the need for closer ties between Tehran and the Persian Gulf Arabs states. The ties between Iran and Persian Gulf Arab states have greatly improved in the last decade and there are many areas of cooperation between the two sides, he added. He also expressed hope that the crisis between Iran and Western nations over Tehran's nuclear program will be resolved amicably. A western diplomat in International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said the agency has not yet made any decision to hold an emergency meeting to consider Iran's nuclear program. The diplomat told IRNA here on Friday that the agency is waiting for future developments and then will make a decision to fix a time for such a session. He added the agency has not received an official request from the EU-3 (three European countries negotiating with Iran) related to an emergency session. The diplomat said the IAEA expects to receive such a request from EU-3 (Germany, France and England) on Friday. PIN/IRNA
