The building of a cement production unit as well as a petrochemical plant in the region would have a significant impact on the economy and industrialization of the province as a whole and creation of jobs in the region in particular, noted a provincial official. Also, the construction works aimed at building the gray cement producing plant started about six months ago, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) quoted the official as saying on Sunday. He further explained that some 1,000 billion rials had been invested in the project. Development of the two major projects would offer good prospects for increasing productivity and expansion of the city, the cement producing plant alone is expected to directly or indirectly create 700-1,000 job opportunities for the population of the region.
