TEHRAN – Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC) has produced 422,137 tons petrochemicals during the 10th Iranian month of Azar (ended December 21), up by 19 percent compared to last years corresponding figure.

During the same period, Basparan Petrochemical Company, which is affiliated to Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex, has produced 47,801 tons polymer products, registering the highest performance compared to other subsidiaries of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex and surpassing last years corresponding figure by about 12.5 percent. Also, aromatic plant of Faravaresh Company produced 51,735 tons petrochemicals including benzene, xylene, and liquefied gas, realizing 117 percent of its projected production goal. Its production also surpassed last years figure by 5 percent. Aromatic products are used for producing detergents, plastics, synthetic fibers, nylon, resins, synthetic rubber, organic paints and medicines. Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex is the biggest petrochemical company of Iran and produces over 30 various types of petrochemicals amounting to 7 million tons.
