TEHRAN - A joint oil company comprising of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) of Iran and a foreign company will be established to implement the projects of phases 21 and 22 of the South Pars gas field, Mohanna, member of the board of directors of IDRO said on Tuesday.

Negotiations are currently being made with the Ministry of Industries and Mines as well as the shareholders of IDRO, he added. He also said that to choose the foreign company, negotiations were made with three companies in former government's tenure. The official put the capital required for the joint venture at $3 billion, stating, the needed capital will be provided out of different resources including the foreign investment. Also in his remarks, Mohanna announced that the implementation operation of the GTL (gas-to-liquid) project of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization will be launched soon. He added that the project has the capacity of producing 1000 barrels liquid products per day. PIN/MNA
