TEHRAN — The international tenders on implementation of the development projects of phases 19-22 of the South Pars gas field appeared on world press yesterday, Akbar Torkan, the managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company told the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) Saturday.

The tender bid text has been approved by the Tenders Committee of the Oil Ministry, he noted, adding “According to our evaluation, no company will lose the chance of presentation in Irans markets.” Implementation of the development projects of phases 19-21 of the South Pars gas field will increase Irans quota production in the giant gas field by 100 million cu. m of gas and 160,000 barrels of condensates. The development projects of the said phases will need investment worth nearly $5 billion. Elsewhere in his remarks, Torkan elaborated on the servicing contract for the phases 11 and 13, stating, that Total and Shell companies are the buyback contractors of these projects whose gas production are due to be turned into the export LNG (liquefied natural gas). In the down stream parts of the projects, the aforesaid international companies have signed cooperation contract with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), and in the upstream parts they will purchase the sour gas required for the LNG units from Pars Oil and Gas Company, he further said.
