Iran Petchem Exports hit $12b in Calendar Year 1396

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The exports of Iranian petrochemical plants crossed 12 billion dollars over the course of the previous calendar year which ended on March 20.

The country's petrochemical exports crossed 22.4 million tons during the year, NIPNA reported.

The facilities operating at Pars Special Energy Economic Zone, Asaluyeh, south of Iran, supplied 11.4 million tons of petrochemical goods during the year, valued at over $5.9 billion.

Moreover, the plants operating at Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone, in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, exported 6 million tons of goods valued at over 3.4 billion dollars.

Furthermore, the plants operating in other parts of the country produced nearly 5 million tons of petrochemicals for $2.6 billion.

Zagros Petrochemical Plant was the country's most productive unit during the year by supplying nearly 3 million tons of products.

On the other hand, Noori Petrochemical Plant generated $1.3 billion during the same period, proving to be the most profit-making unit in the country.
