Iran Disapproves of Oil Sector 'Restrictions' -- Zangeneh

TEHRAN (Shana) --Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said on Sunday his country did not approve of "restrictions" for its energy sector, saying Iran preferred to transfer in foreign technology to develop its oil and gas projects.

"We do not approve of any restrictions, and transfer of technology is a priority for us in cooperation with international companies," Zangeneh said in his opening address to the annual Iran Oil and Gas Show.

He noted that Iran's share in energy market was "un-ignorable", saying: "However, [some governments] may want to slow down the pace of development of Iran's petroleum industry, but we will continue with our own plans by relying on our national capabilities."
