Iran Oil Revenues up 74% in Q1

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Spokesman of Rouhani Administration Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said the country's oil revenues rose by 74% in the first 3 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21 year-on-year.

Speaking to reporters during a weekly briefing, the official said: "In the first three months of this year, 59.8 percent of [the country's] revenues went up compared to the same period last year, and 74 percent of the revenue from oil sales rose."

Speaking on Tuesday, Mr. Nobakht said the country's construction budget of the country had also increased and the government had spent over IRR 228,300 billion for the construction sector while current expenses had increased by 8%.
