NIOC Mulls Selling Crude Oil at Stock Market

TEHRAN (Shana) -- National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is weighing a decision to sell crude oil on the stock exchange after thoroughly reviewing pros and cons of the initiative.

According to the Public Relations Administration of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum (MOP), the supply of crude oil in the energy supply chain has serious supporters and opponents, which is why the issue has been discussed in expert and management meetings and through various perspectives.

Accordingly, following thorough review of the pros and cons of the initiative, the issue is being considered by the relevant legal authorities for taking a final decision that would best suit the country's interests, MOP PR said.
