TEHRAN – Iran will offer a tender bid for converting high-density crude from Soroush and Norouz oil fields to low-density crude, an official of the Oil Industry Research Center said.

Jamshid Zarkesh said this technology can help Iran export its crude from the Persian Gulf fields. He said the best option was to transform high-density crude to low-density crude to be exported, adding that the rate for return of capital would be more than 40 percent. This technology can convert 190,000 barrels of high-density crude from Soroush and Norouz to low-density crude.
