Tehran - The five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany agreed early Tuesday that the Thursday IAEA meeting should report Iran to the UNSC over its nuclear program.

The group included, US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany. The Security Council should wait until March to take up the Iran case, after a formal report on Tehran's activities from the International Atomic Energy Agency was received, an informed source told IRNA on Tuesday. According to the source, Iran must restore in full the suspension of enrichment-related activity, including R&D, under the supervision of the IAEA. The foreign ministers of these countries agreed that an extensive period of confidence-building was required from Iran, the source added. The statement issued by the group reiterated that the six countries agreed that this week's extraordinary IAEA Board meeting should report to the Security Council its decision on the steps required from Iran. The six countries also agreed that the Security Council should await the Director General's report to the March meeting of the IAEA Board before deciding to take action to reinforce the authority of the IAEA process, the statement said. This is while the Western mass media, including those of the US, have intensified their propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran. PIN/IRNA
