TEHRAN - The Line D of the Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) production unit of Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical plant became operational on the Ten-Day Dawn (the ten days commemorating the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution).
The production lines nominal output is said to be about 117,000 tons of bottle-grade PET, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Wednesday.
The first PET production unit of Shahid Tondguyan complex includes four production lines of A, B, C and D. The lines A and B came already on stream last year and the line C is planned to become operational in the near future.
Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical Plant produces purified terephthalic acid as well as polyethylene terephthalate. The company is located in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone.
